About PurachinaBack | ForwardPurachina originated from the first site that I ever created, which was dedicated to the first anime show that I obsessed over. That site started off with a program called Pagebuilder through Geocities. Needless to say, my first attempts at webdesign were sad and pathetic, but my webdesign experience grew as I begun to learn HTML. My love for the show also grew.A year or two later, I begun to feel restricted. I wrote all there were to write about Cardcaptor Sakura and there just wasn't a whole I could add to the site. I ended up closing it, but I still remained in the webdesign community. Three years later, I found myself looking at my old site and felt that it was a pity that all the information had gone to waste. I did spend a lot of time and effort into the site and, if I looked hard enough, there were some quality content. Besides, Cardcaptor Sakura still remained as my favourite anime series. After a few days thinking over if I can handle another site, I began to design Purachina. Purachina was officially opened on March 4th, 2005 and hopefully, it'll continue to expand for years to come. Current Layout - Version 3
The layout you are looking at right now came from pure desperation of needing something new after a year of nothing. I was getting extremely sick of the previous layout and when I get sick of a layout, I don't feel compelled to update the site. Therefore, it was time for a change.
Inspiration came from this absolutely beautiful illustration of Sakura. Of course, the colours red and pink were used and I decided to add some white and grey so the layout wouldn't be too overwhelmingly pink. Everything else just kind of fell together. I always find it hard to describe how I make a layout because I just get flashes of ideas and if they work, I keep them. I just wanted to achieve a layout that's functional, neat and easy on the eyes. Hopefully, I've achieved that.
